Our story

Originally established as the National Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, and Mining of Guadalajara, it was founded on June 20, 1888, under the visionary leadership of Don Juan Somellera. Its primary mission was to unite and organize the business sector, as well as to promote the development and growth of the city. Over the years, it has become an essential pillar for strengthening the local economy and building a robust business community in Guadalajara.

The National Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Mining of Guadalajara was founded on June 20, 1888, by Don Juan Somellera, with two very clear fundamental purposes: 1.- To group and organize the business guild.

2. To distinguish itself as an institution that promotes progress in the city.

1956

In 1956, it adopted the name National Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Services of Guadalajara, reaffirming its commitment to business ethics, business unity and the organization of fairs that promoted economic and social development.

1997

In 1997, it changed its name to the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Guadalajara, implementing a more open and innovative business model. This change strengthened freedom of association and broadened its focus to promote trade at the national and international levels.
